In this edition of REGER STUDIEN online, we are pleased to present a well-researched article by Harald Strebel. Through detailed investigation, he explores the first four public performances of Reger’s Clarinet Quintet in A major. Since the publication of the Reger Works Catalogue nearly fifteen years ago, research findings have changed multiple times—the earliest performance of the quintet actually took place fourteen days earlier than previously recorded.
